A Metro Detroit commercial cleaning company built to take cleaning off your list

RCO Cleaning is a Michigan commercial cleaning company for large buildings in Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties. RCO stands for Responsible Cleaning Organization. The owners run it from Suite 520 in Southfield and can be reached at (248) 849-0000.

Who owns and runs RCO Cleaning?

RCO is locally owned, and it isn’t a franchise. It's owned by the people who run it, and Vadym and George Makovey, the owners, walk buildings themselves and meet with clients personally. There's no franchise office standing between you and the people who have to answer for the work.

Its founders started RCO in Michigan in 2019 with one mission. In their words: to make clients forget about cleaning problems. Today our crews clean offices, medical suites, dealerships, plants, warehouses, stores and schools across Metro Detroit, from an office in Southfield we share with our sister companies, RMO Mitigation & Restoration and RHO Hiring.

Each building has its own cleaning schedule: what needs to be cleaned, when and by whom. This is documented and audited by our management team. Our staff are selected and trained to perform their task. Some have over 20 years of experience in the industry.

What do the first month and a typical night look like?

Two timelines: month one of a new contract, and an ordinary night on a nightly contract.

  • Your first month with RCO

Learn how a contract begins: a walk-through, a readable quote, a complimentary deep cleaning and then an ongoing cleaning schedule that will be monitored.

    Our cleaning process
    1. Day 1

You call or request a quote, and we schedule a time to evaluate the building.

    2. Walkthrough

We go through every room with you and identify what needs cleaning and how frequently.

    3. Within 24 hours

Your written scope and price arrive, with plans to choose from.

    4. Week 1

Once a free deep clean brings the building up to standard, the routine starts.

  • A night in an office building

This is a sample evening on a nightly janitorial contract. The real one follows your building's hours and scope.

    Commercial janitorial services
    1. After close

The crew arrives after your last employees depart and reviews any notes left during the day.

    2. First pass

Trash and recycling out, desks and high-touch surfaces wiped, kitchens cleaned.

    3. Restrooms

Cleaned and disinfected, and paper and soap restocked for the morning.

    4. Before morning

Floors vacuumed and mopped, the lobby glass streak-free, the doors locked.

How a commercial cleaning contract runs

From the first walkthrough to a routine you never have to think about.

  1. Cleaner wiping the mirrored wall inside an elevator, with her cart beside her

    Walk the building

You describe the building to us. We walk it with you, room by room. We write down everything that needs cleaning.

  2. Smiling supervisor checking a tablet while two cleaners mop a lobby behind her

    Quote within 24 hours

A written scope and price back to you within 24 hours of the walkthrough, based on your cleanable square footage and how frequently you need us.

  3. Cleaner pushing a walk-behind floor scrubber across a speckled lobby floor

    A free deep clean

In the first week we bring the entire building up to spec: floors, restrooms, glass, kitchens and every corner nobody reached. Tile, grout and windows come standard for large buildings, free of charge.

  4. Cleaner in white gloves polishing a stainless steel elevator panel

    The routine, checked

Your building gets a cleaning system that works on your schedule, and our managers verify it against the scope.
