A locally owned commercial cleaning company, built in Michigan

RCO Cleaning is a locally owned commercial cleaning company based in Michigan. Established in 2019 by the Makovey family, we operate out of our Southfield office. We are not a franchise. The owners, Vadym and George Makovey, still walk your buildings, write the bids and answer for the work themselves. Give us a call at (248) 849-0000 to meet them in person.

When and why was RCO founded?

RCO Cleaning was founded in Michigan in 2019. The company was started by the Makovey family. Its founders, Vadym and George Makovey, are Ukrainian. They built the business around one sentence. To this day they use that sentence to describe what RCO is for: "RCO is a company that was created to make our clients forget about any cleaning problems."

Our name also conveys what we are about. RCO stands for Responsible Cleaning Organization. And our legal name is still Responsible Cleaning Organization LLC, doing business as RCO Cleaning. Being responsible means the people who bid the job are the people who answer for it. Our mission and values define what that means within a building.

RCO has been cleaning commercial properties since day one. Offices, dealerships, factories, restaurants, medical buildings, malls, hotels, schools and many other types of businesses have been counted among our customers. Every one of these places is different, requiring different service. That's why we will not discuss price until we do a walkthrough of the building first.

Why do Metro Detroit buildings choose locally owned RCO Cleaning?

RCO is not a franchise company. It is owned and operated by the Makovey family out of its own office in Southfield, and the decisions that affect your building are made right here. By people you know.

In Vadym's words: "We, as owners, come in and work directly with our clients." Owners walk buildings prior to RCO bidding on its commercial cleaning services. They check jobs with the managers and remain available after the contract is signed. If there's a problem, you don't have to climb a chain of people to find someone who can fix it. Dial (248) 849-0000. Ask for an owner.

The commercial cleaning we do today

RCO does only commercial cleaning, in four kinds of work. If it relates to cleaning a commercial building, we can take it on.

Routine cleaning
Night and day janitorial cleaning for offices and other workplaces: restrooms, break rooms, trash and recycling, dusting, vacuuming and hard floors. We also have day porters available for hectic workplaces.
Deep and specialty cleaning
Deep cleaning. Disinfection of high-touch surfaces. Post-construction cleaning. Move-in and move-out cleaning for commercial tenants.
Floors and carpet
Scrubbing, stripping, waxing and burnishing floors. Carpet cleaning. Tile and grout cleaning. All with our own industrial-strength equipment.
Windows, exterior and industrial
Water-fed window cleaning, pressure washing, warehouse and plant cleaning, and a green cleaning program for buildings seeking reduced chemical use.
On your schedule
Weekends, holidays or nights, or during the day if your building needs it. We don't sleep, so you don't have to worry about when the cleaning takes place.

Where we work: Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties

Our office is located at 18000 W 9 Mile Rd, Suite 520, Southfield, MI 48075, and our teams serve customers throughout Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties. To give you an idea of our size: approximately 6.5 million square feet cleaned daily. Plus 25 buildings and over 900 projects.

We share the office with two sister companies. RMO Mitigation & Restoration specializes in water, fire and mold restoration 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. RHO Hiring is a staffing company. RCO cleans; we do not restore. If your building has water damage, mold, fire damage or a sewage backup, that is what RMO specializes in, at rmomitigation.com.

Wherever the company expands next, one thing will remain constant: the promise it started with. A clean building. Owners who stand behind it. Call 248-849-0000 for your free walkthrough.
