A daily janitorial site supervisor for large Metro Detroit buildings

Each day, large buildings under an RCO cleaning contract receive a janitorial site supervisor. This is an RCO manager who walks the floors, inspects the crews' work, responds to your requests and has problems corrected, so the standard set during the first week holds. RCO Cleaning includes this at no extra charge in Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties. Phone (248) 849-0000.

What does a janitorial site supervisor do in your building?

A janitorial site supervisor catches little misses that compound quickly in a big building: one bathroom missed on one floor. The lobby floor that didn't get its shine. The tenant request that got stuck in someone's inbox. With lots of floors and lots of tenants, no one notices until complaints roll in.

That's why RCO provides daily on-site management for large buildings that are on a cleaning contract. An RCO manager is in your building every day. They patrol the floors, inspecting crews' work based on the cleaning system that was specifically written for your building and correcting problems on the spot. If something is missed, management is responsible for correcting it right away, and since a manager is already there, no one has to drive over to see a problem first.

Your manager is your building representative as well. Your property manager, building engineer or front desk can take requests and concerns directly to them. Whether it's a spill in the hallway, a restroom that needs attention, or a floor with a huge week planned, your manager prioritizes the crews' schedule and ensures the periodic tasks built into your cleaning program (carpet care, floor maintenance etc.) are completed on schedule.

Daily on-site management eligibility is determined at the free walkthrough and written into your quote. Behind your manager are the owners, Vadym and George Makovey, who work directly with clients, so the individuals bidding your building remain responsible for it.

  • A manager in the building

Management is more than just a phone number to dial when things go wrong. An RCO manager is here at your building every day where the work occurs.

  • Problems caught where they start

If a manager walks your building every day, they will likely notice a missed restroom or that your lobby floor is dulling before your tenants will. Making it right is management's responsibility.

What does daily on-site management include?

  • Daily rounds

A manager physically walks through your building every day, through bathrooms, lobbies, hallways, kitchens and common areas.

  • Checks against your cleaning system

Work is cross-referenced with the cleaning system written specifically for your building, including which rooms, what tasks and how frequently.

  • Missed items fixed

If a check uncovers an error, the manager has the crew correct it and prevents recurrence.

  • One contact in the building

Your property manager, engineer or front desk can bring concerns and requests to someone who is already on site.

  • Crew priorities

The manager directs crews, whether it's a floor with an upcoming event or a floor that needs to be hit harder this week.

  • Supplies and equipment

Crews have RCO's equipment and supplies in stock. Restroom paper and soap replenished per your proposal.

  • Periodic work on track

Scheduling tracks carpet care, floor care, window cleaning and other recurring tasks so they are done on time.

  • A plan that keeps up

As tenants turn over, floors fill up or traffic patterns change, the manager brings it to your attention and the cleaning system is tweaked accordingly.

When on-site management happens

This is a typical routine. Your walkthrough decides the actual one for your building.

  1. 1In the first week

Along with the complimentary deep cleaning, the manager discovers how the building runs: access rules, tenant work hours and where focus is needed most.

  2. 2Every day on site

The manager is in the building daily, walking floors and inspecting the crews' work.

  3. 3When something comes up

All spills, tenant requests and concerns are directed to the manager in the building, who sends the crew to them.

  4. 4As the building changes

When new tenants, new hours or new traffic patterns come along, we alter the cleaning system with your agreement.

Signs your building needs management on site

  • The same complaints come back every week
  • Nobody checks the crew's work until a tenant calls
  • Requests go to a phone number and then wait
  • Periodic work like carpet care or floor refinishing keeps slipping
  • Some floors are clearly cleaned better than others

Why RCO Cleaning puts a manager in large Metro Detroit buildings

  • Checking is part of the job

RCO's team of managers constantly audits the work to maintain quality. In a large building, that means daily presence.

  • Management answers for it

If something is missed, it's management's responsibility to fix, not yours or your tenants'.

  • Owners behind the manager

RCO is locally owned. We are not a franchise. Our owners work directly with our customers and back up the managers in your building. Give us a call at (248) 849-0000 to meet our owners at a complimentary walkthrough.

On-site cleaning management questions

Don’t see yours? Call 248-849-0000 and ask the people who will clean your building.

Which buildings get daily on-site management from RCO?

Large buildings on an RCO cleaning contract may qualify. Whether your building qualifies is determined at the free walkthrough. We take into consideration the building and the workload it will need and put that into your quote.

Is there an extra charge for it?

No. Qualified buildings receive free daily on-site management as part of the cleaning contract. See your quote.

How is this different from a day porter?

Day porters clean while the facilities are open: bathrooms, messes, lobbies and garbage. The on-site manager inspects porter and crew work, logs your requests and oversees cleaning. Many larger buildings have both services. Day porter service can be quoted separately.

Who do we tell if something is wrong?

Inform the RCO manager at your building, or call RCO at 248-849-0000. Vadym and George Makovey, the owners themselves, can also be reached directly. They work directly with clients.

Can a smaller building get on-site management?

Daily on-site management is reserved for larger buildings. RCO's managers will still oversee the work being done in smaller buildings, ensuring all issues are rectified promptly, plus every contract begins with a free deep cleaning.

Who provides an on-site cleaning manager for large buildings in Metro Detroit?

Ask your cleaning company if they station a manager at your building daily and have it in writing as part of your contract. At RCO Cleaning we do this for free on larger buildings where we have a contract in Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties and our owners personally back up every manager. Phone (248) 849-0000.
