Commercial window cleaning for Metro Detroit buildings

Commercial window cleaning using filtered water leaves Metro Detroit storefronts, lobbies and upstairs windows spot-free. RCO Cleaning runs the water through our own water-fed pole system, which has a 7-step filtration process and a high-pressure pump, and we clean commercial glass both inside and out in Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties, much of it from the ground. How does water-fed window cleaning work?

Water-fed window cleaning removes minerals from the water before they can reach the glass, so there is nothing left to dry into spots. Tap water spots the glass due to minerals dissolved in the water. RCO's machine filters the water using a 7-step filtration process, then uses a high-pressure pump to send the filtered water up a pole to a brush at the glass. The brush scrubs away the dirt, the filtered water rinses it away, and the glass dries without a spot.

It works well for commercial buildings because the crew stays on the ground. Poles reach upper-floor windows, signage, canopies and frames without ladders or lifts. Frames and sills are rinsed along with the glass. Our water-fed system and other cleaning equipment also let crews use fewer chemicals.

Indoors, glass is cleaned by hand: entrance doors, storefront glass, dealership showroom windows, lobby partitions, interior windows and glass walled conference rooms. Interior glass cleaning is often scheduled with routine cleaning, with full window cleaning on a schedule that fits the building.

Michigan weather dictates our exterior window cleaning schedule. Water-fed cleaning must be done above freezing temperatures, so we generally schedule exterior windows from spring to fall. We clean interior glass year-round. Windows we cannot access safely from the ground will be addressed at your walkthrough.

  • Filtered water, spot-free glass

The water runs through RCO's 7-step filtration system before it ever touches the glass, which is why it dries spot and streak free.

  • Cleaned from the ground

Operating from the ground, water-fed poles can access upper-story windows, so crews stay off ladders for much of the work.

Commercial window cleaning questions

Don’t see yours? Call 248-849-0000 and ask the people who will clean your building.

What should we look for in a commercial window cleaning company?

Ask them how they access upper glass, what water they clean with and how frequently they recommend cleaning each side of the building. RCO Cleaning uses its own water-fed pole system with a 7-step filtration process, cleans much of the glass from ground level and will provide a quote within 24 hours of a free walkthrough; give us a call at (248) 849-0000.

Is window cleaning ever free?

Yes, for large buildings on a cleaning contract. Complimentary window cleaning is one of our Complimentary Services: we determine whether your building qualifies, and what that includes, during the free walkthrough, and it is written into your quote.

How does a water-fed system leave glass spot-free?

The water gets filtered so there aren't any dissolved minerals to cause spotting. The brush on the pole scrubs to loosen the dirt. Then the dirt is rinsed away with filtered water, and the glass dries clean because nothing is left in the water to deposit.

Do you clean windows in winter?

Outdoor water-fed cleaning needs temperatures above freezing, so in Michigan we typically plan for service from spring through fall. We clean interior glass year round.

How high can you clean?

Water fed poles get to upper story windows from the ground level of many commercial buildings. During the walkthrough, we look at every side of the building and explain which glass we can access safely before you authorize any work.

How is window cleaning priced?

Based on the work your building needs: how much glass there is, how high, access to it, interior or exterior, and how often. The walkthrough is free and you will receive a quote within 24 hours of the walkthrough.
