Why does window cleaning come free with a large building's contract?

RCO bundles window cleaning free for large buildings on a cleaning contract. After all, glass is what tenants and visitors see first. Plus there's a lot of it on a large building: lobby walls, entry vestibules, ground-floor storefronts and row after row of windows above. Windows often get pushed off to another company on another schedule.

RCO can include it because they own the equipment. Their water-fed system filters water through multiple stages, removing the minerals that cause spots. After water is pushed up the pole by a high-pressure pump to a soft brush, the crew scrubs the glass and frames and rinses them. With no minerals left in the water to dry on the glass, it dries without spots. Poles extend from the ground to reach those upper windows, so crews don't need ladders for much of the job.

What we include is based on the free walkthrough. We examine every side of the building and determine which glass is accessible safely from the ground and include the free window cleaning on your estimate: what windows, inside or out, and when they will be cleaned. If glass is not accessible safely from the ground, we discuss it prior to you signing a contract.

Michigan weather dictates our exterior cleaning season. Water-fed cleaning requires a temperature above freezing, so most exterior windows are done from spring through fall. We can clean interior glass year-round. Window cleaning for jobs outside of your quote or for non-qualifying buildings can be provided by RCO's commercial window cleaning service.

Which buildings get complimentary window cleaning from RCO?

Large buildings under an RCO cleaning contract, as with any of RCO's other free services. Whether your building qualifies, and what glass is included, is determined at the free walkthrough and put into your quote.

How often are the windows cleaned under the contract?

That would be included in your quote for your building. It depends on the glass, how it's accessed, and the time of year. Exterior water-fed cleaning needs to be done above freezing temperatures.

Does the complimentary window cleaning use RCO's water-fed system?

Yes, and that is what leaves the glass spot-free. The filtering of the water removes the dissolved minerals that can leave spots. The brush on the pole loosens the dirt. The filtered water rinses it away, and the glass dries clean because there is nothing in the water to dry on the glass.

How high can you clean windows from the ground?

Water-fed poles allow access to upper floor windows from the ground on many multi-story commercial buildings. During our walkthrough we inspect every facade and explain to you which glass we can access safely before you approve anything.

What if we want more window cleaning than the quote includes?

This is RCO's window cleaning service for commercial clients. You can always add more glass or more frequent cleaning to your plan. It's priced based on the work and you will receive the quote within 24 hours of the walkthrough.
