Commercial cleaning partnerships for Metro Detroit companies

A commercial cleaning partnership with RCO Cleaning lets your business answer yes when your customers ask about cleaning. RCO partners with companies in other trades so we can each serve the other's customers and bid on jobs too large for one company to complete; landscapers, contractors and facility management companies are ideal partners. Meet the owners. Call (248) 849-0000.

Why does RCO partner with other companies?

Every building we clean requires services from other people. Someone cuts grass and plows the parking lot. Someone services the HVAC units. Someone manages the building for the owner. The companies providing that work already have trust with the client. Eventually, the client asks them, "Do you know a good cleaning company?"

A partnership makes that question a real answer. You provide commercial cleaning services for your customers, and we execute the work to the same standards as every other building we service. If our customers need your services, we refer them to you. If there is a job that is too large for either of us separately, such as a new building being turned over to its owner or a large campus switching vendors, we bid the project together and run it together.

It already works like this. RCO collaborates with companies from various sectors, and we offer certain services together with Jeffrey's Commercial Cleaning (JRC). We want to do that with you too.

Companies that make good cleaning partners

  • Landscaping and snow removal companies

You maintain the grounds and parking lot; we maintain the interior. Your customers have one less vendor to track down and when one of our customers needs lawn care or plowing, we know who to call. In the spring we can also pressure wash the walks and entrances after a winter of salt.

  • General contractors and builders

A new build or tenant build-out isn't complete until it's clean. We come in after the trades, from dust on every ledge to streak-free glass, so the space is walkthrough-ready for the owner. And if they want to schedule regular cleanings after that, they already know who to call.

  • Facility management companies

You own the contract for the entire building. We provide the cleaning portion of that contract which includes nightly janitorial and day porters, floors, carpet and windows. We report to you just as you report to the owner. We work around your schedule for the building.

  • Building trades and maintenance contractors

HVAC, electricians, plumbers, roofers, painters and flooring companies frequent the same buildings that we do. Often times, we work for the same property managers too. We refer work to each other and when your job creates dust or debris, we can clean up after you so the client sees a finished space.

  • Security, pest control and other building services

Firms that protect, maintain and service commercial properties have many of the same customers and property managers as we do. Partnering allows us to refer clients back and forth and provide a property with one group of companies that are used to working with one another.

  • Other cleaning companies

Sometimes contracts are too large for one crew, or specialty equipment is required which the company does not own, such as a ride-on floor scrubber or a water-fed window system. Cleaning companies have the opportunity to partner up to split large jobs or to cross-cover each other's specialties. RCO currently partners with Jeffrey's Commercial Cleaning (JRC) on some services.

  • Our sister companies, RMO and RHO

RMO Mitigation & Restoration and RHO Hiring work out of the same office in Southfield. RCO does not perform restoration: if there's water, fire or mold damage in a building, RMO takes care of it. RHO provides employees to warehouses and plants. A partner of one of us is easily introduced to the other two.

How does a partnership start?

  1. 01

    Request a meeting

Complete the form below or give us a call at (248) 849-0000. Let us know what kind of business you're in and what clients or projects you have in mind.

  2. 02

    Meet the owners

We meet with you at our Southfield office, your office or by phone. Vadym or George Makovey learns how you operate and you learn how we operate. We then decide, together, if we are a good fit.

  3. 03

    Agree how we'll work together

We agree on how clients flow between us and who handles the client and who quotes what. A cleaning client is started the same way every RCO client is: a free walkthrough of the building, a quote within 24 hours of the walkthrough and the complimentary services written into that quote.

  4. 04

    Serve clients and bid together

We begin with one client or one project. When there is a large project, we walk it together. Each company prices their portion and the client receives one proposal. The owners are involved from the first call.

How a partnership can work

  • Landscaping + cleaning

A landscaping company adds cleaning for its clients

Say a landscaper works at an office park keeping everything green. The property manager says they need to find a new cleaning company. The landscaper tells them about RCO, we walk the buildings and send a quote. Now we have an office park receiving service from two companies who already know each other. Then down the road when one of our clients needs a landscaper, we point them in that direction.

  • Construction + cleaning

A builder hands over a clean building

Let's say you are a general contractor who just completed a new office building. You need to have it cleaned before the owner does their walkthrough. RCO will clean after all the trades have finished and walked out. Dust off every surface, clean all floors, glass nice and streak free. The owner moves into a completed building. If they decide they want nightly cleanings after that, the contractor has already introduced them to us.

  • Big project, shared

    Two companies, one large campus

For instance, a facility management company takes over a large corporate campus. The property requires cleaning, floor care and window cleaning from day one. RCO will handle the cleaning, putting the buildings in their absolute best clean condition during the first week and then switching over to the routine cleaning program while the facility company manages everything else. The client has one plan and each company provides its specialty.

Why Metro Detroit companies partner with RCO Cleaning

  • A yes when clients ask about cleaning

Offer commercial cleaning services without hiring staff or purchasing equipment. Our crews perform the work: janitorial cleaning, deep cleaning, floor care, carpet care, window cleaning and pressure washing.

  • Clients sent your way

When our clients need what you do, we tell them about you. A good partnership works in both directions.

  • Room to bid bigger projects

Large buildings, campuses and plants require multiple services at the same time. We can bid together on work that we wouldn't bid separately.

  • Work done to RCO's standard

Since your name is on the introduction, the job means something to you. Each RCO building receives a customized cleaning system, and our managers oversee the work so that issues are addressed promptly.

  • Cleaning on the client's schedule

RCO cleans nights, weekends and holidays so we can work whenever your clients need it. We're happy to work around your crews instead of getting in their way.

  • You deal with the owners

You work directly with owners at (248) 849-0000. Partnership decisions are made locally in Southfield by the individuals who met with you.

Proud to be small

RCO Cleaning is not a franchise. We are locally owned and operated by Vadym and George Makovey out of our Southfield office, and we're proud of that.

Small means easy partnering. No parent company to ask before onboarding a new partner and no corporate partnership training to sit through. You meet the owners. The owners decide. The same owners stay on the partnership after that first meeting. "We, as owners, come in and work directly with our clients," says Vadym. We work with our partners the same way.

Small describes who you work with. Our work is performed on RCO's fleet of heavy-duty equipment ranging from floor scrubbers to our water-fed window cleaning system. When you take into account all the buildings we clean, that equates to approximately 6.5 million square feet cleaned daily. Our sister companies, RMO Mitigation & Restoration and RHO Hiring, share our office and are run the same way.

Commercial cleaning partnership questions

What kinds of companies can partner with RCO?

RCO likes to work with companies who service commercial buildings in Metro Detroit and who have customers that could benefit from commercial cleaning. This includes landscapers, contractors, facility management companies, building trades, security and other building service companies, and even other cleaning companies. We already work with companies from a variety of different industries. If you are not sure if your company qualifies, just ask. We can meet and discuss it.

Does RCO clean homes for our clients?

No. RCO only does commercial cleaning: offices, medical buildings, plants, warehouses, dealerships, stores and other places of business. A partnership works well when your clients own, manage or work in commercial spaces.

Who does the cleaning, and who talks to the client?

Cleaning is done by our own crews. We hire and train them personally. Who talks to the client is always discussed and agreed upon by us both before the first cleaning, so the client always knows who to call.

Can we bid a large project together?

Yes. That's one of the primary reasons to partner. We walk the building together. Each company prices its own portion and we present the client with one plan. We can also schedule around the other trades because RCO cleans nights, weekends and holidays.

What area does RCO cover?

Metro Detroit area: Oakland County, Wayne County and Macomb County, Michigan, from our Southfield office located at 18000 W 9 Mile Rd, Suite 520.
