Why does every contract start with a deep cleaning?

The reason every RCO contract begins with a deep clean is because when a new cleaning company walks into the building they are inheriting what's been allowed to accumulate: dust on vents and lights, gray traffic lanes down the carpet, black grout in the restrooms, scuffed baseboards. Nightly cleaning can't undo months of built-up dirt just a little bit at a time. Night cleaning can only maintain the building where it's currently at. With RCO we reset the building before we start every contract.

During week one, crews deep clean the building at no cost to you. They start at the top of the building and work their way down: high dusting of vents, fixtures and ledges, then walls, doors and trim, then furniture, restrooms and kitchens. They finish with the floors last. All the heavy work is done with RCO's equipment, including high-powered vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, floor machines and RCO's floor scrubber. If the building is large, they may break up the deep cleaning over several nights or a weekend, allowing your tenants and staff to continue working.

The scope is set during a free walkthrough of the building. We walk through the building room to room and write down what areas need the most attention. We include the deep cleaning in your quote along with your normal cleaning so you know before you sign what your first week of cleaning will entail. You will receive your quote within 24 hours of the walkthrough.

After week one, your building's cleaning system, built by RCO, takes over. Managers audit cleanings against the deep cleaning benchmark. If the walkthrough or the deep cleaning turns up water damage, mold or smoke damage, that's restoration rather than cleaning, and RCO's sister company RMO Mitigation & Restoration handles it.

What does the free deep cleaning cover?

High dusting
Ceiling vents, diffusers, light fixtures, ledges, cabinet tops and partition tops dusted and wiped clean.
Walls, doors and trim
Walls, doors, frames, switch plates, and baseboards free of fingerprints, scuffs and marks via spot cleaning.
Furniture and fixtures
Desks, tables, chairs and shelves cleaned including legs and bases, and the floors underneath wherever furniture can be moved safely.
Restrooms in detail
Fixtures descaled, walls and partitions washed and floors scrubbed so your routine starts with clean tile and grout. Tile and grout cleaning is complimentary for large buildings with RCO on-site staff.
Kitchens and break rooms
Appliance doors, cabinet doors, sinks and countertops detailed, and the floor scrubbed.
Carpet
Carpet vacuumed into corners. Spots and traffic lanes treated or extracted when required by scope.
Hard floors
Hard floors machine scrubbed, with edges and corners detailed by hand.
Interior glass
Entry doors, partitions and interior windows cleaned streak-free.

Is the first-week deep cleaning really free?

Yes, with a cleaning contract. All new RCO cleaning contracts begin with a complimentary deep clean. It's included in your quote so you know what you're getting before you sign.

Does our building have to be large to get the free deep clean?

No. The free deep cleaning is included with every contract. Window cleaning and carpet spot cleaning are additional free services we offer for large buildings on a cleaning contract. We determine what qualifies during the free walkthrough and include it in the quote.

Can we get a deep cleaning without a contract?

Yes. A one-time deep cleaning is our commercial deep cleaning service, which we quote from a free walkthrough just like any other project. It is free with the signing of a cleaning contract.

How long does the first deep cleaning take?

It's completed in the first week. The layout of the week depends on the size of the building and scope. Most larger buildings are sectioned off to be completed over multiple nights or a weekend to allow the building to remain operational.

Will the deep cleaning disrupt our business?

It doesn't need to. RCO cleans 24/7, so deep cleaning can take place overnight, over a weekend or on a holiday when the building is vacant.

What if the deep cleaning turns up water damage or mold?

We'll stop and tell you. Water, mold, fire and sewage damage are restoration work, not cleaning, and RCO's sister company RMO Mitigation & Restoration handles them. The deep cleaning picks up again once that work is done.
