In short: This is the first month RCO Cleaning has exceeded 7 million square feet cleaned in one night. RCO achieves that number by cleaning many different buildings throughout Metro Detroit. Office buildings, commercial buildings and warehouses are cleaned each night so they are ready for morning business.
We hit a milestone this month. It was a number we had been striving for. It included many buildings with different cleaning protocols. Each building had its own punch list of things that had to be completed before the door is unlocked for the first person. All of those punch lists were completed and the total square footage surpassed 7 million.
What does 7 million square feet look like?
Office buildings
Desks, break rooms, restrooms, lobbies and elevators all finished overnight for tenants to walk back into a clean floor.
Commercial buildings
Entrances, hallways and common spaces that see all-day traffic and need to look fresh again by morning.
Warehouses
Large areas cleaned with appropriate equipment, allowing teams to cover more territory with fewer chemicals.
One night
Completed in one night, on your timeline. RCO never sleeps.
RCO crews cleaned over 7 million square feet in one night for the first time ever.
How do RCO Cleaning's crews clean 7 million square feet in one night?
That number comes from the same handful of habits, applied nightly at every location.
A cleaning system for each building
We walk your building and design a cleaning system tailored to it before service begins: areas, tasks and frequency.
The right equipment
Our own heavy-duty equipment, including our floor scrubber, floor buffers and high-powered vacuums and extractors, allows crews to clean large areas effectively.
Trained people
Each employee is selected and trained. They are familiar with professional equipment and supplies. Some have over 20 years of experience in this field.
Managers check the work
Our management team continually audits completed work, so a larger night does not equal lower quality. If something is missed, it is remedied as soon as possible.
What it means for the buildings we already clean
We only consider growth good news if our existing customers don't feel it. Owners continue to work directly with our clients. Managers continue to inspect work. And every new building continues to receive a complimentary deep clean during its first week on board so we can start it off in the best condition possible before the routine kicks in. Large buildings also receive complimentary tile and grout and window cleaning to start.
To all of our night crews: thank you. Seven million square feet happened because of you. To all property managers and building owners that allow us to handle their buildings: thank you for entrusting us with your keys.
Questions about the 7 million mark
How does RCO count 7 million square feet?
From each building's cleanable square footage. We calculate it once, with the client, before we ever quote the building, so no one walks 7 million square feet with a tape measure at night.
Does a bigger night mean lower quality?
No. Our management team continually audits completed work, so a larger night does not equal lower quality. If something is missed, it is remedied as soon as possible. Owners also continue to work directly with our clients.
Who cleaned the 7 million square feet?
Our night crews. Each employee is selected and trained, everyone is familiar with professional equipment and supplies, and some have over 20 years of experience in this field. Seven million square feet happened because of them.
