In short: RCO Cleaning has partnered on projects with the Detroit Chinese Business Association (DCBA), including cleanup after events and event setup. We're proud to be part of it. It utilizes the same people and mindset we take into the buildings we clean every night.
An event is a venue at its busiest time. More foot traffic than usual, all arriving at once. Guests all expecting everything to look perfect when they step through the door. Once the last person leaves, the room has to be reset to the venue's specifications.
What do event cleaning and setup involve?
Every event is unique, but the work typically falls into three categories.
Before: get the room ready
Tables and chairs set where the plan indicates. Surfaces wiped down. Floors clean. Restrooms stocked prior to opening.
During: keep it fresh
Trash cans emptied before they overflow, bathrooms inspected and restocked, spills cleaned up immediately.
After: put it back
Trash cleaned up, floors cleaned, surfaces wiped down and the space returned to the venue in good condition for the following day.
An event is a building at full capacity, and the room needs to look perfect when the doors open.
What does RCO Cleaning bring to an event?
Trained people
Each RCO employee is chosen and trained, and knows how to use professional equipment and supplies.
Our own equipment
High-powered vacuums, floor machines and supplies arrive with the crew.
Evenings and weekends
Events don't usually happen at 10 on a Tuesday morning. Never fear: RCO doesn't sleep.
Managers on the work
Our managers double-check our work, so the room is right before anyone realizes it's not.
Why it matters to us
RCO has been locally owned and operating out of Southfield since 2019. Our community is Metro Detroit's business community, and we want to serve a purpose within it besides just a cleaning agreement. Partnering with the DCBA is one way we can achieve that.
It also reminds us what we do it all for. A clean, well prepared room allows the guests to concentrate on what they are there for: meeting new people and conducting business. Thanks to the DCBA for allowing us the opportunity to work together.
Event cleaning questions
What is it called when you clean up after an event?
Post-event cleaning, or event cleanup. After the last guest leaves, trash is cleaned up, floors are cleaned, surfaces are wiped down and the space is returned to the venue in good condition for the following day.
Can RCO set up the room before an event?
Yes. Before the doors open, tables and chairs are set where the plan indicates, surfaces are wiped down, floors are cleaned and restrooms are stocked. Event setup is part of our work with the DCBA.
Can RCO clean during an evening or weekend event?
Yes. Events don't usually happen at 10 on a Tuesday morning, and RCO doesn't sleep. During an event, crews empty trash cans before they overflow, inspect and restock bathrooms and clean up spills immediately.
